Change of Status Report ownership

J

Jeff

I have one manager away on vacation, the temp manager
NEEDS to view the status reports submitted by the team.
Is this possible?????

I have had the temp manager republish all
assigments "becoming the manager" - can't see the status
reports!
I then changed ownership of the projects to the temp
manager - still can't see the status reports!!
I shifted the temp manager to the same RBS and security
settings as the manager - STILL cant see the status
reports!!!

What am I missing??

I do not believe it is not possible to transfer Status Report ownership, as
you have probably already deduced in your frustrating efforts to do so.
Instead, while the owner of the Status Report is away on vacation, he/she
should ask the team members to select the other manager in the Cc: field
when submitted the status report. The other manager will see the responses
in the Miscellaneous Reports section of the Status Reports page. Hope this
helps.

Jeff,

For what it is worth, I can add my tiny bit of knowledge that this is the
case... I have been informed through multiple sources that the only one who
can stop or change a status report is the person who created it. I was
advised to make certain that all status reports were terminated before
inactivating a project manager for this reason as there would be no way to
turn them off otherwise. It seems like something the Admin should be able
to do, but there does not seem to be any such control.

If you find another way, please let us know as this has some rather
potentially annoying consequences.
