Sure, just open Windows Explorer and locate the file, right click it and select
Rename and give it a new extension. Or open PowerPoint and then open the .PPS
file. Then you can save it to .PPS or .PPT. There is no mystery about .PPS.
It opens as a Slide Show when double clicked, but it's just a presentation that
you can open in Edit mode directly from PowerPoint.
open powerpoint and choose the pps file. You may need to
choose open a copy instead of open original. You can now do
whatever you want with it.
