Change project name

Hello:

Is there an easy way to change the name of a published
project in EPM 2003?

Dale,
i have downloaded the rename project tool and followed all
instructions. i have renamed the projects that i needed to rename
successfully, but am getting erros when i try to open the project
directly from the PWA page and am also getting errors when i open the
project through project and try to publish it with new project
information. i get a spooler error DATABASE ERROR (0x80040E14) in
project and in PWA get an error message saying Unable to find
specified project, check the project name and version, contact admin
if problem continues. i am the proj admin, so i need some guidance
here if you can help. thank you.

I was not aware of the warning about unapproved reported hours when I first
used the utility. I am now getting this error. Is there any way to fix the
project and not lose the Actual Work Protected information that is critical
to my company? i would even accept SQL statements at this point.

Have you tried restoring the name of the project to its original name,
processing the pending task updates, and then renaming it back to its new
name? I ran into the same problem personally, and used this process. That
is why I warned you about pending updates in my original message. Hope this
helps.

Dale, sorry to jum in the middle here, but tried the rename, and after the
project was renamed, and people tracked time against task in the new project
name, then I go to accept the time, I get the error about the old project not
existing, it is behaiving as if they were pending, but clearly I waited until
after the name change. Thanks
