Change remaining work & percent complete

Dear all

I have this problem, maybe someone can help me to give suggestion
I was assigned for one task in
work = 8hr, duration = 1 days
But I can finished my task early, at 8/1/2007 in actual work = 4hr
So I do this, is it correct?

- In My timesheet I update actual = 4hr, submit my timesheet
- Import my timesheet,
remaining work = 4hr, edit with remaining work = 0 hr
percent completed = 50% (4hr from 8hr), edited with percent completed = 100%

-Then I submit task
-But the result is : the planned continues at 8/2/2007.

What must I do to correct this case?
What must I set to the task has finished early, I done it faster than the
plan. and the percent completed sets 100%

If you update you task without importing from timesheet do you see the same
problem ?

I've just tried this (not importing from TS as I don't have TS setup), and
the task is updated to reflect the early finish.
