Change Screen Tip

Jacqueline

I have created one report that can be run several different ways; and created
one location with different buttons to run the report depending on the
results the user needs.

Each button has an icon on it to designate the type of report but when the
user hovers over the icon it does not tell them what type of report it is:
i.e. the export to excel simple says "Run Macro" and the others "Run Report".

I would like to change the screen tip to state what type of report they can
run but using the button. Example, instead of the screen tip as "Run Macro" I
want it to indicate "Roster Report to Excel"

I am not sure this can be done, but it will really help me with the space I
need and save me getting a bunch of calls from users wanting to know how to
run their reports.

Thanks much
Jacqueline

Hi, Jacqueline.

Open your form in design view and display the Properties dialog box (press
F4 to display) and click on the "Other" tab. Locate the "ControlTip Text"
property line. Enter the text that you want to display as the Tool tip.

It's easy to make it way more difficult.

I like easy ones once in a while.

Good luck with your project.
