Change selected row in a list when a button is pressed

I currently have a form which I navigate through the records wit
forward and back buttons (not default navigation buttons), but als
with the help of a list. In the list I have all the names of th
persons in the table and when you press the name you will jump to th
corresponding record

What I need to do now is to update the currently selected person i
the lis
if you press the next record button on the form so it matches the inf
shown

Is there anyone who know how I can do this
