Change spell check language for1 document

I have received a document (in English) from a computer using Canadian
French as the language.
I want to spellcheck in English on another computer but cannot find a way to
do it.
Is there one?

In most versions of Word that I've used, you can set the language for any
section of the text. If you want the whole document, ^A should select
everything, then it's something like TOOLS | LANGUAGE | SET LANGUAGE ...
select what you want.
