Change subject in out of office assistant

K

Keeley2

I want to use Out of Office Assistant as an autoreply for job seeking
candidates. When the candidate submits their resume to my specific email box,
I want to immediately bounce back an email acknowledging receipt, etc.
However, I don't want to tell them I'm out of the office, I want to change
the Subject Header to something else, i.e. Your resume has been received
I'm not a programmer per se but I do some minor coding in html for our
website.
Is there an easy way to do this?
TIA

No, there's no easy way to do that if you want it to operate in OOA, which
is run by the server, not the Outlook client.

Ceck the search engines for "auto-responder for Exchange". There are
probably quite a few of them out there.

No Outlook rule -- server- or client-side -- can do this directly. It would
require either an Exchange event sink or script or in Outlook 2002/3, a VBA
macro triggered by a "run a script" rule.
