Change text label location for multiple shapes at once?

Is there a way to change the text label location from bottom of the shape to
the right of the shape at once for multiple objects? I have a tree diagram
that I would like to shift the label location to the right of the shape so I
can make the original shape objects larger. I'm thinking I could use the
multiple select tool to grab all shapes and move the labels to the right
somehow.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Depends on the shape type and hpw the text has been positioned.
Select the appropriate shapes, then menu Format -> Text
select the Paragraph tab and set the horizontal alignment to Right,
you may also need the Text Block tab and set the vertical alignment to
Centre.

The shape is from an Active Directory stencil. It is a folder with text
underneath it. Nothing unusual.

I tried what you suggested however that just seems to right justify the
text. It doesn't move it to the right of the shape. The text is still
underneath the corresponding shape.

Is there any way to move the text above, left or right of all corresponding
shapes? thanks

Ah, right, those shapes have a control handle that is used to position
the text. My previous instructions would just have moved the text
around in its box area. To move the text for your shapes select the
shape and move the yellow diamond, that determines the text location.
No easy way to do that for more than one at a time without writing a
macro to loop through the selected shapes and write a new formula into
the shape's control X and Y cells.
I'm a bit busy doing other stuff at the moment (creating a new blog)
so I'm leaving that last bit as an exercise for the reader! :)

Thanks for the reply.
I can always do it manually, but whenever I need to update my drawing using
the Active Directory Topology diagram tool, it will be a pain in the A.

I can't believe they didn't include something like this within the
application.
Select all shapes.- Position Text to right of shape.. or something.
I'll look into the macro.

menu File -> Shapes -> Show Document Stencil
double click the appropriate shape, this will open your local master,
select the shape in the edit window, a yellow blob indicates where the
text is located. Drag this to where you want your text. Close the
window, answer yes to updating your shapes.
