Change the colour of worksheet tabs

Is there a way to change the colour of the tabs in a
workbook. I'm sure I did that at one time, however, it may
have been in an older version of Excel. I am using Excel
2000.

It would have had to be in excel 2002 or later.

AFAIK this feature was introduced with Excel 2002. Just right-click on
the tab name and choose 'Color'. Prior to this version: no chance

If you don't have Excel 2002 (or higher) there are alternatives to
help you organize such as inserting a prefix in front of the
worksheet name and sorting your worksheet tabs.

Excel 2002 is the first version of Excel to allow sheet tab coloring.

Your "older version of Excel" may have been Lotus 123
