We're using Project Server 2003 SP1 and Project 2003 Pro SP1, and have setup
synchronization with AD, which runs every night at 2AM. I've been trying to
do some updates to our Enterprise Resource Pool to reflect recent
organizational changes. Specifically, I've been updating the RBS to reflect
the current org chart, as well as update the Group field for each resource as
a shorthand for the RBS.
The problem that I'm having is that it looks like changes to the Group field
aren't sticking, even though I'm saving the edits to the Enterprise Resource
Pool as I'm making change. The RBS changes seem to be OK.
Is there something witht he synch to AD that overwrites the changes to the
Group field during each sync cycle? Is it somehow "hardcoded" to use a
specific field from AD (like Department?) If so, is there a document
somewhere that shows the field mapping between AD and the Enterprise Resource
Pool fields?
Thanks in advance.
