Changes to query aren't saved Access 2003

I have recently been upgraded to Access 2003 from 97. Now whenever I make a
change to a query in design view and then close the design view of the query
I am not asked if I want to save my changes. Then when I open the query I see
that my changes were not saved. I go back to the design view and there I
confirm that the query is back to the way it was before I made the changes.
Can someone help me resove this problem?
Thank you.

You may be being bitten by the Name AutoCorrect bug. Go to Tools | Options |
General and turn "Track name AutoCorrect info" off in "Name AutoCorrect"
section..

The selection box beside "Track name AutoCorrect info" has not been checked.

The database was created in Access 97. When I opened this database in Access
2003 I chose not to convert the database, in case I ever needed to open it
again in 97. Could this be the reason I can't save the changes?

Thanks.

Yes. Unless you convert the database, you cannot make design changes in the
database.
