Changes to the consolidated plan

My master plan has several projects linked to it, by the way of inserting a
project and creating a subtask. My question is, if one of the linked project
makes changes to the dates, will the dates be moved in all other projects
that are linked to the master.

Hi,

(Except maybe in a Server envoironment) The link to the master doesn't
matter at all.
Is there a link between tasks of the different projects?
Are they linked to a common resoruce pool and are you doing leveling over
the whole?
If not why would date in one project oinfluence dates in an other one?
A master is hardly more than a common view to all the tasks in the different
projects

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply. The answer to your questions is that the master is
not in the server environment, it is on the shared drive, the tasks are not
linked between projects, however they are all sharing the same resource pool,
and I have not been levelling resources. Of of the project managers have
made changed to his own project however, it was reported the those changes
have pushed some dates forward for other project plans. Now is this possible
at all?

Hi,

Within the constraints you quote, I can't imagine how this would come by (if
he changed tasks)
If he changes resources (especially working time) and these are picked up by
the pool there can be an interaction.
Bit that is through a pool not through a master.
