Changing application server for 07

All, this past weekend we rolled out project server 2007 and put the app, on
a VM
server, which only has a single proc avail. well the performance has been
bad, I am going to build out a dual proc physical server, I see where I can
just add him to the server farm and I am hoping I can then just turn off the
other server after I have a DNS alias that points to my current server,
changed to my new server. Is it that easy? anyone got some ideals of what
pain I should expect?

Thanks for any input.

I think many of us would like to hear how your experience goes. Make
sure you pay attention to where the SSP lives, and keep track of the
SSP's content database, because that is where project workspaces are
stored. I think the key search term for finding a lot out on this
topic is "Large Farm:"
