Changing banners automatically

P

Peter

Does anyone know how sites such as myspace has the banners change
automatically?

Is this something that would require me to creat a css file to set the
banner size so the banner that automatically pops up isn't too big for the
screen?

Also, I asked this question a while back without any exact answers.

How can I edit a section of text on a webpage remotely? Such as through my
hosting company which is password protected.

Thanks in advance!

If I had to guess I would say you will find an external to the webpage
javascript file controlling the display of the banners.

If your running FPSE on your host you can connect directly to the host and
live edit what is there. If your uploading your FP websites using FTP you
can't.

However, what your trying to do is also done by "CMS" (Content Management
System) so you could find and install one and use it instead. Most CMS
setups apparently let you use the browser to do your content management.
