Changing character for time enty

Is there a way to change the colon ) while entering time data? I would
like to be able to use the period (.) in my keypad to be recognized as the
dividing character for hours and minutes. I am in Excel 2003.....

AFAIK this is not really possible (maybe changing the Windows settings
could do). You may have a look at:
