changing color palette of a microsoft graph per vba

Franz

Hello,
I have to change the colors of series in a microsoft graph
per VBA. The colors are user definied colors (the colors
are saved ina database). There is no problem with setting
the color if the color is in the color palette.
But in case the color is not in the palette I need to add
the color to the color palette, but how can this be done?
The graph is placed in a power-point presentation.
I'm using graph 9 und PowerPoint 2002.

Thanks in advance
Franz

Hi Franz,

I'm afraid MS Graph doesn't support this. You'd need to build
Excel graphs, instead, in order to get access to color
palettes. The Powerpoint folks (Brian Reilly, especially)
know more about this, but hang out primarily in their
newsgroup.

Hi Franz,
I couldn't find the MSDN managed PowerPoint-NewsGroup!? I
really need an answer. It can't be true, that there is no
way to modify the color-palette.
The powerpoint group probably isn't "maganed MSDN", but it's
a public group on the microsoft msnews server. In my
newsreader, I see it as public.powerpoint

And there really is no interface to the color palette over
MS Graph. Just like you can't do anything with any Shapes
(text boxes). The object model doesn't expose it.

Hallo Petra
