changing computers

Hi Folks,
I am going to be buying a new system to replace my old one. My old computer
has a copy of Office 2003 on it that came with the computer (i.e. I have no
software discs besdies the recovery discs with Office on them). I would like
to move that license over to my new system. Is there a way I can do this
without the software discs in this manner? Thanks!

Your old computer is newer than my new computer.

It is likely that if your software came preinstalled without CDs it will be
licensed only for use on the machine it came with and you will not be able
to use it on any other. Check with the dcoumentation or vendor to be
certain.

I'm trying to figure this one out. You say you have no discs but recovery
discs with Office on them. Don't you think the recovery discs will
reinstall Office??
