Hello--I've just switched to MS 2008 and am trying to use the Reviewing function. However, the Comment balloons iare featuring the date as day/month/year. How can I change it to month/day/year?
Thanks, D

Word draws that setting from your computer.

Set your System Preferences>International>Formats>Region setting correctly
to determine the date style you like to use.

Thanks, John. But actually my preferences are set that way already, and Word 2004 (which is still installed on my computer) has always and still uses the month-day-year format. This problem seems to be specific to Word 2008.

Well, in Word 2008 on this computer, Word changes the date style in comments
when I change the setting in the System Preferences. (You have to re-start
Word to have it pick up the change...)

What language are you working in? (Not just "English", there are 29
flavours of English -- which one...?)

Cheers

Hi again John--

My System Prefs are set to US English. I've tried restarting but it's a no go in Word 2008.

What is your default date format set for within Word? From Word, if you
choose Insert, Date and Time, what date is selected? Is it a day/month/year
format?

Hi Shawn--

For the Insert Date and Time, it gives a month-day-year format.

However, the comments are now coming out in month-day-year format! So the problem seems to be solved, although it's unclear how that happened...

Thanks very much John and Shawn for your help.
