How do you change from Outlook to AOL as the default email? Most of my addresses are in AOL address book.

Thanks, Frank, for responding.

My apologies. I suppose I wasn't very clear with my question. I want to email an Excel file. What I was meaning to ask is this: In Excel, or any Office program for that matter, when you pull down the File menu and click "Send to", then click "Mail recipient (as attachment)", Excel automatically opens and attaches the file in Outlook. Since most of my addresses are in my AOL address book, I would like for Excel to attach it to AOL instead. Are the instructions you gave me <<try chaning this setting in the MS Internet Explorer (Tools - internet Options - Programs')>> supposed to do that? I did that, clicked apply, and it still opened Outlook. Do I perhaps have to re-boot for it to take effect?

Coach,

Frank's suggestion should have worked. I've had trouble with that option,
though as I recall, it was the other way around (AOL wanted to stay the
default mail handler). It's also in Control Panel - Internet Options.
Should be the same thing, Try a reboot. Try another. Stand up and turn
around three times (sometimes it really works). Check and make sure that
option isn't getting reset to Outlook Express. In OE, there's a "This
application is the default mail handler" declaration in Tools - Options -
General. Check that it says it's not the default mail handler.
