Changing Default Format of Shapes

Christina

Hi there, I am trying to change the default format of shapes in the basic
flowchart shapes (i.e. the rectangle), so I follow the instructions but it
still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Please and thanks!
Here is the instructions I follow....

Change the default formatting for shapes you draw
Make sure that no shapes are selected.
On the Format menu, click Text, Line, Fill, Shadow, or Corner Rounding.
Select the formatting options you want.
When you draw a new shape by using one of the following drawing or text
tools, the new default formatting is applied to the shape:

Text tool
Text Block tool
Rectangle tool
Ellipse tool
Line tool
Arc tool
Freeform tool
Pencil tool

These instructions apply only to the basic drawing shapes from drawing
toolbar. The flowchart shapes from the stencils have their own
formatting.

You could
1. try editing the shapes in the supplied stencils to get thr
formatting you want, or
2. edit the shapes in the Document Stencil (menu File -> Shapes )

You could also modify the style that is applied to those shapes. Styles are
a 'advanced' feature that are only visible when developer mode is turned on
(Tools>Options... Advanced tab, select "run in developer mode"). When in
developer mode styles are on the Format menu.
