Changing default values within Advanced Layout dialog

Is it possible to change the default values for settings within the Advanced
Layout dialog box? One good example is the Picture Position tab within the
Options section; could I toggle this, or any other checkbox, so I don't have
to open this & set the value for every graphic I paste into my Word documents?

Since writing this I figured out SetAutoShapeDefaults & the Format Painter -
both are excellent ways to expedite the process of applying properties to
pasted graphics (TIFF in this case).

Any other suggestions or cool VBA samples would be welcome.
