changing email accounts

I was given a computer by my Father-in-law, and I am trying to change the
email account from him to me. And I am also getting his email. How do I do
this?

You should say what email version you have. You can go to Tools, Accounts on
the menu in Outlook and delete his account. Then you must set up your own
acct using the server settings and instructions given to you by your
Internet/email Provider.

you need to contact your ISP to get the mail account settings for your email
and then configure your account to use your e-mail and not your FIL. Remove
his account settings first.

I'd do more than merely remove the old accounts and add your own. I'd start
with an entirely new mail profile with its own clean PST.

Follow the instructions at the e-mail provider's web site.
