changing fonts on several slides at once

I would like to know if there is a way to change the font type (ie: size,
type, or even color) for all fonts of the same type across all slides in a
powerpoint presentation.

Select Slide Master from the view menu. Select the text box area where you
want the fonts to be changed, change the font and close the master slide.
Fonts through out your presentation will change.
