changing from euro to dollar sign - ctrl+SHIFT+$

When we had excel 2000, and when you hit ctrl+SHIFT+$, it
would insert a dollar sign. but when we do that in excel
2003, it pops the euro symbol up. Does anyone know how to
change this? Thanks.

Check out Format>Style>Currency and see what is default symbol. Modify if
Euro.
