Changing Gantt View default columns

When I open MS Project Gantt view, the default columns are Indicators, Task
Name, Duration, Start, Finish, Predecessors, and Resource Names.

I would like the default columns to be Indicators, Task Name, Type, Work,
Duration, Start, Finish, Baseline Start, Baseline Finish, Predecessors, and
Resource Names.

I've been throught the Help and searched here but didn't find anything. Is
there a way to change the default columns?

Thanks!

I found a similar question that pointed me in the right direction, and this
is how I solved the problem (I welcome more elegant solutions if offered!):
1. Select View->Table: Entry> More Tables...
2. With Entry still selected, click Edit
3. Edit the rows to get the desired Task Entry table column formatting then
click OK
4. Select Organizer
5. Select the current project in Tables available in: on the left, and
Global.mpt on the right
6. Select Entry on the left and Copy, and answer Yes to replace the existing
Global.MPT task entry table, then close the Organizer
7. Select Apply in the More Tables window.

I kept looking for ways to modify the Gantt chart when i should have been
looking for information on the Task Entry table.

That gets it into the Global template... but how do you make it the default
view upon entry into Projects?

Hello Matt,

You can set your customized view as the default view for new
projects through Tools > Options, View tab. Other files will
open in the view they were saved in.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
