Changing Menu Language (office 2000)

I

IanArmstrong

I'm temporarily working from a machine that is usually used by a Dane. The XP
functions are all in English but the Office 2000 Professional menus are in
Danish.

Is there an easy way to flip these menus back to English?

Many thanks

It depends on whether your MS Office is Danish, or if it's English with a
Danish language pack. In the latter case, you'll be able to switch back to
English. Do the following:

1. Start Menu -> All Programs -> MS Office -> MS Office Tools -> MS Office
2007 Language Settings

2. At the very top, you'll see some tabs. If you have THREE tabs, then one
of them is display language(the display language tab has a check box and two
drop-down combo boxes), and you can change your display language to another
language (hopefully English) using the first combo box. If you have only two
tabs, then Danish is your only option and you're stuck.

Hi Rian,

that was the most helpfull advice I've found up to date.
Unfortunately, it didn't totally work for me, I would have to change the
keybord parameters too. My Keyboard has a French Canadian layout, but that
option is not available when I try to insrall it...

I'm not absolutely sure I understand your question, but here's the answer to
the question I think you're asking.

1. Start Menu -> Run -> "intl.cpl"
2. Keyboards and Languages (Tab at top)
3. Change Keyboards (Button)
4. Add Keyboard (Button)
5. Find English United States or English United Kingdom, choose it, and
click OK.
6. Change the "Default Input Language" (drop-down box) to the keyboard you
chose.
7. Now go back to office and see if you can type the way you're used to
doing it.
