Changing Passwords

Rich

I have an Exchange 2000 SP3 server, and about 6 Mac
clients running OS 9.2 and Outlook 2001. Everything works
fine for them, but when they try to change their
passwords, they are unable. I have verified all the
information (exchange server, domain, etc.) and all is
well. Sice there are only 6 clients, changing passwords
for them isn't a huge chore, but I would rather not do
that incase I am not around. Anyone have any suggestions?
TIA.

Hi Rich!

If your Macs connect to any file servers within the same domain, they can go
through their Choosers to change their passwords.

Hope this helps! bill

I am having the same troubles. Only I have about 150 Mac
clients. We've just told them to not use Outlook to
change their password, instead go through the chooser.
However it would be great if it worked through Outlook.
If you find something that works, please post it here.

Thanks,
Jessi

if you have Exchange 200x, then why don't ask them to use OWA to change
their domain passwords. (quickest solution with no pain)

Outlook 2001 for Mac is a down-level client, it uses a special
implementation of LM for authentication, thus you will need to have a
special arrangement on your DC side to enable those users to change their
domain passwords. see if the info in these articles help you in implementing
this in your environment.
