Changing position of picture removes captions

Michael

Friends,

I'm trying to reformat some photos in my document, but
when I alter the formatting (wrap, position, boundaries,
etc.), the caption is scrubbed off and placed in the
paragraph next to the photo (with "Figure X" converted to
normal text).

I've also tried placing the photo where I want it on the
page first (with wrapping attributes, etc.), but then the
caption option is not available.

I'm trying to create paragraph text to the left of a set
of photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Michael

G'day "Michael" <[email protected]>,

make a borderless table with two cells. Stick the picture INLINE with
text in the first cell, populate the second cell with text.

I *hate* floating gfx - they ALWAYS play up.

Hi Michael,

My preference, generally, is to draw a FRAME from the Forms
toolbar, insert the picture into that, and the caption, as
well. You can then set the text wrapping for the frame.

If this is Word 2002, you could also try using the Drawing
Canvas, as long as you don't need to pick the pictures up
for a table of figures or cross-reference them.
