Changing Project Owner

Hello,

I have a situation where I need Resource Managers to have the ability of
changing the owner of a Project Plan via the Edit Button in the Project
Center View.

However it appears that the only way I can do this is to assign the Manage
Enterprise Features permission to the Resource Managers. But if I do that
it gives them access to the Admin Menu which in turn gives them access to
the OLAP Cube build capability, and the Check in Projects and Resources and
Versions options, which is a problem.

How do I achieve the ability for my RM's to change the owner of a project
without giving them access to teh Admin Menu and Manage Enterprise Features
?

Many Thanks !

Adrian

The only way to handle this is to give them the Manage Enteprrise Features
permission and then train them not to mess with the other features. Hope
this helps.

Hi Dale

Thanks for your input but "Eeeek !!"

That's really messy .... I'm surprised that Microsoft haven't come up with a
better way to handle this.

I don't see how or why the Project Owner option and the Manage Enterprise
Features should be at all related. I'm sure there was probably some wisdom
to it , but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

Do you happen to know if this is handled any better in 2007 ?

Thanks

Jeff
