Changing Properties Details Visio 2002

I try to change the properties details on several files and it comes back
with an error message "invalid pointer". I have tried changing the details
with the file opened in Vsio (2002) and also when it is not. doesn't save the
details in either case. How do I get round this or am I doing something wrong.

How are you doing this changing of the properties? Details aare important.
