Changing Registered Owner in Office 2000

Hi --

We use Norton Ghost for imaging our machines. When we install MS Office we
use the company name as the registered owner. Unfortunately all of our
systems now have the same "Registered Owner" in the Office Suite, and it's
impossible for users to tell who has a file open without talking to me and
I'll look it up in Server Manager (or the MMC snapin).

Is there any way to change this? I've found some links that refer to
[HKCurrentUser\Software\Microsoft\MSSetup.......] but this entry does not
exist in Windows & Office 2000.... I've already successfully changed
Windows, not can't manage to do so in Office.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

You can change the user name through Word's
Tools=>Options=>User Info, stored in a registry key
