Changing report progress method

Hi,

When a project has once been saved with method "Percent of work complete" I
cant chace it to "Hours done per time period". I have tried changing the
method and republish the plan.

Any Ideas ?

To change the method of tracking progress for the project, are you doing it
by clicking Tools - Customize - Published Fields? You must either do this,
or you must have your Project Server administrator change the method of
tracking progress for every project, and he/she should also lock down the
tracking settings.

When you try to republish the plan, do you click Collaborate - Publish -
Republish Assignments? This is the correct method for republishing a
project once you have changed the tracking method, as this method will
"push" the new tracking settings out to PWA on each user's timesheet.

Thanks a lot.

Actually I did exactly as you described, but I succeded now when I tried on
a new dummy project. The reason I did not realize this previously was, that
I looked at a completed task, where the change in reporting method does not
kick in -which does not seem unreasonable, since no additional entries are
expected on that task.
