OK, here's the situation ...
PM has contractor working for him, and he created his
plan with him tagged as both a "local resource"
and "contract_house_name-1". PM then publshed the plan
and has begun to track work against the plan (good so far).
We would now like to make this local generic-contractor
definition into a specific Enterprise resource. I have
added the resource's info into the global resource pool,
and now would like to substitute the generic-name-local-
resource with the newly enter named resource definition
(carrying over any work accomplished).
I can't find a way to accomplish this.
The standard replacing of resources technique that I've
used for years complains that "Already Time Entered". It
suggests project task be split and the new task for which
there is no time entered be assigned to the new resource.
Hope I've described the situation well enough. Any
help for me?
Thanks ...
