changing selection highlight color??

Hi, is there a way to change the selection highlight color from baby blue? I
don't see it in preferences. I'm not talking about a formatting thing (i.e.
coloring a cell pink or yellow). I'm talking about when you click in a cell or
select a column, your selection is highlighted to show what you've selected.
I want to know how to change that highlight color.

Thanks!

P.S. On a side note, I was unable to send this message in Internet Explorer,
so I've switched over to Safari where I hope the send button will work. Good
work, Microsoft! Your website doesn't work with your own browser!

The highlight color is taken from the system preferences, in the
appearance pane. You'll have to close and reopen XL to have the change
take effect.

Hi jumunius,

Internet Explorer is a discontinued product (both Mac and Windows), so
it is a good thing that the web site works with Safari, not a bad thing.

If Safari did not work properly, then it would be a problem.

Looks like it's an OS X function, not accessible under Excel. Go to
Apple Menu>System Preferrences…>General>Highlight color.
