changing texture in charts

When I try to change the texture in the pie charts I am creating all the
sections change to the same pattern. How can I change it so that each
section of the pie is a different pattern?

Make sure that only the piece you want to format is selected (the
contextual menu will say "format data point" instead of "format data
series".
