Changing the default zoom in Outlook for schedule of Meeting request

When I make a meeting requestin Outlook and click on the
tab for the scheduling, the default zoom state is "100%
(Day View)" which is much too big.

I have been told that it is impossible to change this,
which I find hard to believe. But I haven't been able to
find a way.

Any ideas?
