Changing the Increments on how a chart is displayed

To Who Ever Can Help:

I'm trying to change the way my y-axis displays units of
time. I'd like it to display units of time starting with
4:00am going to 10:00am with 15 minute intervals:

10:00
9:45
9:30
Etc.

Can someone give me a clue on how to do this? I sure do
appreciate any help I can get.

I'll assume that you don't care about the date, only the time. The y-axis
settings should be: min = 0.166666667, max = 0.41666667, major unit =
0.01041667.

Thanks for the reply. Do I need both a major and a
minor? I've got the time on the x-axis and the date on
the y-axis, if that makes a difference. Thanks again.

Desta,

First, go to a worksheet and create a table of the times
that you want along the x-axis, in order.

Then click on the margin of the chart and right click.
Choose "source Data" and click on the "series" tab.

Down at the bottom of that tab is a "Category (X) Axis
Label) section. You then want to select the table of the
times.

Tha should take care of it.

Even easier, enter 4:00 for min, 10:00 for max, and 0:15 for major unit.
Excel converts these into decimals for you.

This works on the X axis as long as it's a scatter chart. It works on
the Y axis all the time.
