changing the name of an embedded object

When embedding an object (Adobe file) into a document, it puts the path under
the icon. Can that wording be changed to something other than the path where
it's stored?

Thanks so much for the details. Appreciate it.

Adobe makes a lot of different products, so it's hard telling what type of
file you're embedding. Assuming you're inserting a PDF into Word, you'd go
to Insert|Object|Create From File and navigate to your file, and then you'd
click the "display as icon" box and then the "change icon" button. There's a
"caption" box that holds the file path. Click in there and type something
else.
