Changing the Project Manager on a specific project

N

I am taking over a number of projects from my supervisor. When these projects
were created in Project, and on Project Server, he was designated the role as
Project Manager. Now that I will be handling them, we are having trouble
changing it so I am the Project Manager (so I receive the tasks requests,
updates, etc ... and I review and accept / deny changes, etc ...).

In Project Server I have admin rights to everything.

We are using Project 2002.

Thanks,
Eric

Before you formally assume the role of project manager for each of your
supervisor's projects, make sure that your supervisor has processed all
pending task updates on the PWA Updates page into each of the projects.
Then do the following:

1. Log into PWA
2. Apply the Project Center page
3. Select the row header of a project you will manage
4. Click the Edit button
5. Select your name from the list of names in the Owner field
6. Click the Save and Close button
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each project you will manage

Completing the above steps will make you the Owner of each project. Then do
the following:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server
2. Open a project you will manage
3. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
4. Select the "Become the manager for these assignments" option
5. Click OK
6. Save and close the project
7. Repeat steps 2-6 for each project you will manage

Hope this helps.
