Changining orientation of an object in custom animation

Hello all,

This is my first question on this forum, so be kind ...

How can i animate an object so it would change its orintation ?

For exapmle, a rectangular at the left side of the slide will move the right
side and would rotate at the same time, so it would reach the other end of
the slide rotated by 90 degrees.

2002 (XP), and i'm looking at the option to insert an animated gif, but i
want something more elegant

Explore the Custom Animations. With a Motion Path animation and a quarter spin
Emphasis animation, you might get what you want.
