chapter page numbering

I have a long document subdivided into chapters with
chapter pages (1-1, 2-1, etc.) The printed document will
have tab indexes manually inserted. How can I ensure
that my chapters end on the left side, with the next one
beginning on the right side of the printed document?

Use
Insert > Section brakes > Odd page.

By the way, this is a VBA group (vba is about programming in Word with
macros) or add-ins....
