+ Character stops exchange email going to Mac

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Since updating to Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2007, emails containing a + character in the subject or sender address remains on Exchange server, but does not transfer to Macs Entourage 2004 accounts.

Apple Mail works fine and using OWA you can see the missing emails, but Entourage 2004 will not forward them on to a Mac whether 10.3, 10.4, and unconfirmed 10.5.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much, we had been trying to fix this problem for months. I'll try this shortly and confirm success (hopefully) once tested.
