chart labels disappear in slide show view

Please Help!

I'm using Powerpoint 98 for Mac and have created several
charts with labels on both axes and legends. When i go to
slide show view on my machine I lose labels on the x-axis,
y-axis, and/or legends. I cannot figure out why, or why the
different charts lose different information. If I open up
my file on a neighboring pc running version 2000 SR-1 (?)
the missing labels are not always the same as the ones
missing on my machine. But something is always missing. Any
ideas????
