How can I create a total line on a 3-d bar code chart for each tick mark on
the x asis? What I would like is the totals to display horizontally above
the chart for each tick mark?

This would have to be done in Excel. PPT's MS Graph is just a datasheet that
holds data -- it doesn't allow for any kind of calculations.

Are you saying I need to do the whole chart in excel or the totals. I
already did the totals by cutting the datasheet detail out of the MS graph
and then pasted into Excel where I did a column summation for each column.
Then I pasted back into MS graph. The total line shows up on the chart but
as a trend line with higher and lower totals show inside th graph. I want
to show the totals on a straight line above the graph.

You'd have to do the whole chart there, and I think you'd probably have to
populate a dummy data series -- or even just regular textboxes -- with your
totals. Or you can just add them manually in PPT.
