Charts do not appear

I insert a excel chart into powerpoint XP and it doesn't show up.
If click in the area the legend opens up and allows me to access data.

If I logon to my pc remotely and open the file the charts appear as they
should.

Could this be a display setting.

Yes, it could. I'd suggest changing your hardware acceleration and see if
that helps.
