Charts in word

I have created a chart in word, but when adding text to one column it goes
over the page. Although the text is there it does not show on the next page.
I know the text is there because when I highlight and delete text from the
column the rest of the text shows. How can I get the text to show in columns
over two pages please?

What version of Word are you using? Are you placing a chart in a column in the document and what is the wrapping style set on the
chart object?
