Funny, the download worked on my IE.
It did say that it couldn't download an .exe file though.
Had to download and save a .cab file.

Didn't install it, but the download was uneventful.

IE can be a tad obstreperous at times.

1. Click tools
2. Click internet options
3. Click privacy tab
4. In the web sites area, click edit
5. In the address of web site textbox, paste

http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/templategallery/

6. Click allow
7. Click OK
8. Click apply
9. Exit IE and restart(re-boot) system

After restarting your computer, try going to the template gallery and
"download" should work.

Saw that posted awhile back when another user had trouble after updating
XP to SP2 and tried it, but no joy with this particular template. It
won't even show the preview. Here's what happens after clicking 'Download
Now':

1. Goes to End User license agreement page
2. Click on 'Agree' goes to ActiveX install page and it shows successful
install even though it's been previously installed.
3. Click on 'Continue' goes back to 'Download Now' page
4. Re-click 'Download Now' does nothing

On a hunch, tried removing ActiveX control and reinstalling it, but it
failed. Now I've got to try to get it back. Will post later after reboot.

And trying to locate it from scratch from:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/templates/default.aspx,
it wasn't shown in lists, or via template search for 'checkbook'.

Was able to preview and download others with or without the Internet
Options 'fix'. Thanks anyway.

That said, after getting it using Debra's link, thought it was pretty
lame.
