Check if a table object exists

Is there a way to programmatically check if a table object exists in a MS
Access 2002 Database?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
something like this:

dim tdf as tabledef
on error resume next
set tdf=currentdb.tabledefs(strTableName)
if err.number=0 then
'table exist
else
'not
end if
