I wouldn't recommend that as a strategy unless you can absolutely guarantee
that people have saved all their work. The manual check-in, at least,
reminds you that the changes will be lost.
When we first started working with EPM, one of our customers decided that
would be a great idea to once a week to check all the projects in. The
amount of rework resulting from that process was staggering.
Just some food for thought.
